About Us
Rural Rounds
Rural Rounds is a not-for-profit organisation that supports students from rural and under-represented backgrounds gain entry into Australian medical degrees.
We achieve this by providing informal coaching to plan and apply for medical schools in Australia. Students in our program receive tailored ongoing near-peer support, access to resources for the medicine entry, interview practice and assistance in applying for scholarships.
Our story
Rural Rounds was founded in 2025 by two medical students who recognised that many talented rural students lack access to the mentorship, networks, and guidance that enable successful entry into medical courses and rural focused training.
